Double sided full size replica of the larger British version which is 48mm diameter x 3mm thick, with ring suspender. Bronze antiqued finish. Includes loose ribbon and clear plastic dust cover.
The original medals were issued to British and native troops in 1808 in various formats, they were struck in gold, silver, bronze and pewter.
The Calcutta strikings were slightly smaller at 45mm diameter.
None of the medals were manufactured with a suspender although some where fitted by the recipient.
