CARPATHIA and TITANIC MEDAL. SILVER This tragic disaster happened when the TITANIC struck an iceberg and sank, 1490 people perished, 711 where rescued by R.M.S. CARPATHIA. Her crew where issued these medals for their gallant and heroic services. Depending on rank, they where issued either gold, silver or bronze. I have the gold and bronze versions on another listings.
A very accurate full size, double sided showcase replica with silver plated antiqued finish. Comes with approx 5″ loose ribbon and presentation wallet. Originals where issued in 1912 and now attract around £5,000 each but are rarely offered for sale.
