Super high definition replica in electro EPNS bronze with stressed silver finish.

History / Summary

The Mexican silver dollars recovered from SMS Emden were considered a suitable base for producing a commemmorative medallion by the Navy in 1918. Of the 6,429 silver dollars salvaged from the ‘Emden’, 1,000 were issued as medallions for presentation to the officers and men of HMAS Sydney. Actual presentation was made by the ship’s Captain, Captain Glossop, RN.
